ABOUT jasmin
Born in Victoria TX, Jasmin Velasquez is a dancer, educator, and choreographer currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at Sam Houston State University and will receive her degree on May 10th of 2025. Over the course of her career at SHSU, she has accomplished and received 4 National Championship rings as a team member of the Orange Pride Dance Team where she is currently finishing out her last season while learning from her mentor and director of Orange Pride, Sarah Garcia. She has also gotten the privilege to work alongside Sarah Garcia co-choreographing national routines for Stephen F. Austin’s dance team and Orange Pride Dance Team. She has extensive training in a range of styles with 19 years of experience and is presently teaching at MC Dance while traveling around Texas to present choreography under MA DAnce Nation. Her latest Work, “ONly Love Can Hurt Like This” performed by Orange Pride will premiere at American Dance/Drill Team nationals in march of 2025.
